Andrew Robinson is a Ventura County-based pianist and music educator. Originally from Pembroke Pines Florida, Andrew began his music education at the age of five, participating in the NFMC (National Federation of Music Clubs) festivals yearly, receiving superior marks every year until moving away from Florida after High-School.
After moving to California, he continued his higher education in music at Moorpark College, then eventually at CSUN. Andrew has had the opportunity to study with many great pianists: Mona Decesare, Edward Francis, Jason Stoll. During his time at Moorpark College, he also performed in the Reno Jazz Festival two years in a row with Brendan McMullin. Currently jazz is his greatest passion, and he is influenced greatly by studying with Matt Harris.
Andrew’s range of musical interests and study make him a versatile teacher. His approach is to immerse the student in the musical language through a variety of activities and genres, that include songs, conventional reading and fun.
